Manual Transmission Casing Split

Had to start with tapping out Shift linkage pin. Remember from previous post could not get out under car.


Then took out all Fill and Drain plugs.

20140115_180840Then removed reverse light switch.

20140115_18085320140115_182749Next I pull out the Shift Selector De-tent Bolt/Spring/Ball.


Take the Reverse Idle Bolt out next.


Find the places to pry. There are a few spots built into the design of the casing. Pry slightly to break loose.20140115_182946Before prying all the way up. Release the Snap Ring.
